Pandemic Plan Notice
You may have heard about Avian Influenza A (H5N1) Virus and the expected Pandemic. This virus is commonly called “The Bird Flu”.
Minimize your risk by getting the flu shot, regular hand washing and STAY AT HOME if you are sick.
Signs & Symptoms of Avian Influenza A (H5N1) resemble those of human influenza and include:
Fever, cough, aching muscles, sore throat
Also eye infections and serious respiratory infections such as pneumonia.
The GRPSEO has already taken precautionary measures by limiting staff travel out of the community.
In the event of an extensive flu outbreak – the GRPSEO will implement the following measures:
1. More restricted face-to-face contact. Entrance protocols (hand sanitizing) – must be observed.
If necessary, the GRPSEO will eliminate walk-ins and the majority of person-to-person contact from outside of the office.
You can still be in touch with GRPSEO staff by e-mail, telephone or fax.
2. If it is necessary to close the GRPSEO due to illness, notices will be sent via e-mail, the Radio, and on our website www.grpseo.org.
The GRPSEO is having systems implemented so that your essential funding services will not be interrupted. We will keep you updated.
