Winter 2012 Contact Info Required & Reminders 

Note: Completing your contact during the month of February is best because by this time you should have a sense of how you are doing in your semester. However, if you are experiencing difficulties, please contact your Education Counsellor sooner. The deadline to complete your contact(s) by is March 16, 2012 or April funds will be placed on Hold. Your contact should address the following: 

• How are you doing in each of your courses? Honesty really is the best policy & identify any specific concerns you may have so we may assist you better. 
  
  
• Have you made any changes in your course load (dropped or added courses)?
   
  
• Advise if you are completing a placement this term and if you need a "Placement Confirmation Letter" sent to you. 
  
  
• Do you think tutorial assistance is needed for any courses? (Full time students are eligible for a maximum of $150/semester. An invoice for reimbursement must be sent in prior to the end of the semester (there is a sample copy of an invoice on our website). 
  
  
• Have there been any changes in your address (mailing & home), phone number, and email address? Where do you want your mail sent? Are you getting your mail in a reasonable time? Make sure you check your email regularly! 
  
  
• The next email update will be sent out March 1. Please read it. 
  
  
• Did you remember to opt out of your Health plan? You may have to opt out for the winter semester. Check this with your institution. 
  
  
• We will be doing the Graduate Promotion publication again this fall. Graduating students can have their Grad Photo published in the Tekawennake and Brantford Expositor newspapers free of charge during the month of December. If you will be graduating by Oct 31, 2012, ask your counsellor for more info. 
  
  
• Do you have any questions or concerns that may affect your studies? 

Reminders:  

• Our office will be closed Monday, February 20, 2012 for the Family Day holiday. 
  
  
• Your winter 2012 marks are due May 17, 2012. 
  
  
• An official transcript is due July 1, 2012. 
  
  
• If you are graduating this term please forward a copy of your degree or diploma once you have received it. (Please note if grades for Winter are not received, then an overpayment for all costs expended in Winter 2012 will be applied.) 
  
  
• Applications for Fall 2012 are due May 17, 2012. Remember, you can apply on-line at www.grpseo.org  Applications are available on the website or you can request that an application package be mailed to you. LATE Applications will not be processed. New students who received a USB can also print the application form from their USB.
   
  
• Your April education allowance will be deposited to your account on Monday, April 2, 2012.
   
  
• Don't forget to apply for any scholarships you may be eligible for. 
  
  
• GRPSEO's scholarship/bursary deadline is July 1, 2012. Program criteria: Agriculture & Biological Sciences/Natural Sciences & Primary Industries.
