$ 7,341.21

Dear Community Member:

On behalf of the Grand River Post Secondary Education Office, we would like to thank you for your donation to our 2011 Norm's Golf for Grads tournament which was held at the Sundrim Golf Course on Friday, July 15, 2011.

This year we raised a total of $7,341.21 to help our college and university students in their education endeavours. This is a support that is desperately needed and greatly appreciated by our students. It is your continued generosity and support that makes this event such a success every year.

The GRPSEO looks forward to having you join us once again on Friday, July 20, 2012 for the 2012 Norm's Golf for GRADS tournament.  Tournament details can be found on the link below.

Please click The Student Recognition Booklet of Graduates & Award Winners for 2010/11 which demonstrates the outstanding accomplishments of our students, many of which are possible through the efforts of the Norm's Golf for GRADS tournament.

We are proud to have your support for this endeavor and as part of the team  that makes this event such a success.

Thank you  for your generosity and support.  It's people like you who truly make a difference.  Looking forward to having your continued support again this year in 2012.

Recognition of Graduates & Award Recipients 2010 (formerly...Student Recognition Event)

January 7, 2010

Dear Future Graduate,

RE: Recognition of Graduates & Award Recipients 2010

The Grand River Post Secondary Education Office (GRPSEO) wishes to announce the change in the format for which we recognize and acknowledge our Six Nations post secondary graduates and award recipients.  GRPSEO will continue to provide special recognition to our Six Nations graduates and award recipients.  You can be assured, your achievements and accomplishments will be celebrated and shared.

For 2011, the format will change from hosting an annual Student Recognition Event in August to a publication of graduate photographs in local and regional newspapers. GRPSEO will publish your graduate photo with your program of study and institution in these papers at no cost to you.  (Sample display of graduate photos.)  The publication of graduate photographs will occur in December.

You will be considered a potential graduate if your graduation date falls within the academic period of September 1, 2010 to August 31, 2011

In order to acknowledge you as a graduate for the December 2011 photo publication you will be required to do the following:

  1. Complete the enclosed Six Nations Graduates – Consent form. (Listing of graduate gifts are linked on the consent form.)
  2. Submit your photograph along with your official transcript (verifying graduation) due by July 1st and October 31st.
  3. Submit a photograph of yourself – either your graduate photo or another suitable head shot photo.
  4. You can also submit your photograph separately from the official transcript no later than October 31st.
  5. It is very important that we have an up to date mailing address on file for you.

Once we have received the required documentation (official transcript) along with your graduate photo and consent form we will mail to you, a special recognition gift (while quantities last) and a certificate of recognition.

If you do not have an appropriate photo you have the option to arrange to have your photo taken at our office between July 2, 2011 to October 29, 2011.  (Please call us at (519) 445-2219 to let us know when you will be here.)  At this time you will also be presented with your recognition gift.

Please note: If we do not receive the completed consent form from you, we will not be able to post your graduate photo and announcement to the newspapers or to our website.  Please ensure you return your completed consent form.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your education counselor.

Congratulations & Best of luck to you!

Post Secondary Research Project

Grand River Post Secondary Education Office has developed a Post Secondary Research Project, which will benefit the students and companies.  In order for this research project to be a success we need companies to give our students the opportunity to show what type of research skills they have.  Companies who wish to participate in the Research Project should send all relevant information to GRPSEO and this information will be posted on our website for students to access.  (Consent to Post Secondary Research Project)

After the information is posted on the website, Grand River Post Secondary does not have any further responsibility involved in the project.  It is up to the students to decide what type of research project that they want to accomplish (qualitative or quantitative), and then they have to notify the company to exchange information.

With our community helping out with this project it will not only provide an educational experience for the students, but it will also help the students learn how companies operate and possibly help them decide what they want to accomplish further on in their career.
